MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

Notice
According to Item 4 of the Summary of Other Items Set by the Constitution, those members who are two years in arrears on their membership fee payment will have their membership revoked.
Further, those members who have not paid the current fiscal year fees will not be sent the Bijutsushi issues for that year. When membership fee payment has been confirmed, those issues will be sent to the member.

* Item 4: Those members who are in arrears for one year will not be eligible for research report or paper submissions and will not receive the society journal. Those members who are in arrears on their membership dues for two years shall have their membership revoked. Those who have been expelled for lack of payment can be readmitted to the membership when the dues in arrears are paid in full.

Becoming a JAHS Member
-New Members

New members must have recommendations from two members and approval of the Standing Committee.

To join JAHS, print out the Membership Application Form (A), fill in the necessary sections (signatures by recommenders must be actual signatures on the form), and
mail the completed form to your regional Division Office.
Membership procedures will take place after the Standing Committee has met and approved the application. Please be aware that the approval process may take some time after an application is submitted.

Further, as per Constitution Article 13 Section 2, individuals may be admitted for membership by examination of an application by the Standing Committee when the applicant cannot obtain recommendations from two current members.
Those applicants who cannot obtain two member recommendations are asked to submit Membership Application Form (B). Please print out this form, fill in the necessary sections and
submit by mail to your regional Division Office.

-Readmission to Membership
Those members whose membership has been revoked due to fee payment lapses may apply for readmission to membership by submitting the Application for Readmission to Membership. Please print out this form, complete the necessary sections, and
submit by mail to the Head Office.
